Who we are
Auto Best Drive provides chauffeur and transport services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, email kashif@autobestdrive.com .
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to arrange and run your trip:
- Booking details: passenger name, email address, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses (with the map location when you choose a suggested address), date and time, number of passengers, child seats, flight details for airport trips and any notes you add.
- Account details: your name, email address and phone number, and your password, which we store only in hashed form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier.
- Payment details: payments are handled by our payment provider, Moyasar. We never receive or store your full card number or security code. We keep the payment reference, amount, payment method, card brand and the last four digits of the card, for receipts and refunds.
- Trip details: the chauffeur assigned to you, trip status updates and any rating or comment you leave after the trip.
- Business enquiries: the name, company, email address, area of interest and message you send through the For Business form.
- Technical data: your IP address, which we use to suggest the site language for your country and to protect the service, and basic server logs.
How we use your information
- To confirm, price, schedule and carry out your bookings, and to assign a chauffeur.
- To take payments and process refunds.
- To send booking confirmations and trip updates by email and WhatsApp.
- To manage your account, including email verification and password resets.
- To answer your questions and business enquiries.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud and misuse.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Why we are allowed to use it
We process your data to carry out the booking you ask for, to comply with legal obligations, for our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable service, and with your consent where the law requires it. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only as far as needed to provide the service:
- Your chauffeur: your name, phone number, pickup and drop-off details and trip notes.
- Moyasar, to process card, mada, Apple Pay and other payments.
- Meta (WhatsApp), to deliver booking messages to your phone.
- Microsoft, which runs our email service.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- LocationIQ, to suggest addresses and show maps when you enter a location.
- ip-api, to look up the country of your IP address for the default site language.
- Our hosting provider, Oracle Cloud, whose servers in Jeddah run the website and its database.
- Government authorities, when the law requires it.
Transfers outside Saudi Arabia
Some of these providers, such as Meta, Microsoft, Google, LocationIQ and ip-api, may process data outside the Kingdom. We use them only for the purposes above and only as permitted by the PDPL and its regulations on transferring personal data outside the Kingdom.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as Saudi tax and accounting rules require. Account details are kept while your account is open, and business enquiries only as long as needed to respond and follow up. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
How we protect it
The site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, passwords are stored only in hashed form, card details are handled by Moyasar rather than by us, and access to personal data is limited to staff who need it. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site saves a few settings in your browser so it works as you expect: your language, your light or dark theme, and your sign-in session if you log in. Google sign-in and our payment page may set their own cookies when you use them.
Your rights
Under the PDPL you have the right to:
- Be told how your personal data is collected and used.
- Access your personal data and get a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete data we no longer need to keep.
- Withdraw your consent where we rely on it.
To make a request, email kashif@autobestdrive.com from the address on your booking or account, and we will reply within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).
Children
Bookings must be made by an adult. When you book a trip for a child, for example with a child seat, you give us the details needed for that trip on the child's behalf.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will tell you about significant changes by email or on the site.
